Search the calendar for an event
NewOctober 15, 2026 · Web
The search box above the calendar finds events by title or location. It looks across every date, not only the weeks on screen, and lists upcoming matches first and past ones after. Choose a result and the calendar moves to that day and opens the event.
Every word you type has to appear, in any order, so "dentist mark" finds "Mark's Dentist". A repeating event is listed once, at its next date. Events also show up in the search you open with Ctrl+K.

Put a running-low supply on the grocery list in one tap
NewSeptember 21, 2026 · Web
On the Supplies page, any supply that is running low or out carries an Add to list button, and every supply has one on its own page. One tap puts it on the grocery list with its size in the note underneath. The button then reads "On the list", so nobody adds the same thing twice, and a line that came from a supply links back to it.
Behind that, "running low" now means one thing everywhere. The Supplies page, your Home page, Reports, the assistant, and the phone apps had drifted into four different answers, and Reports had the worst of it: it read a supply nobody had ever counted as out of stock. An empty stock field now means the question has not been answered, not that the shelf is bare, so your Reports out-of-stock count may drop.
One grocery list the whole household shares
NewSeptember 21, 2026 · Web, Wall tablet, Assistant
Grocery, under Household, is one shared list per family. There is nothing to set up. Type several things at once and they become separate lines: "milk, eggs and bread" is three, and anything already on the list is skipped rather than doubled.
Shopping mode drops the ticked lines to the bottom so what is left to find stays at the top of your phone in the aisle. Clear bought takes the ticked lines off afterwards.
Anyone in the family can add a line and tick any line off. Taking a line off is narrower, so a request does not vanish on the person who made it: you can remove what you added, and an owner or admin can remove anything.
The wall tablet shows the list in the sidebar to tick off in the kitchen, and the assistant understands "add milk and eggs to the list".
Health timing: the next checkup, school vaccines, and sports physicals
NewSeptember 21, 2026 · Web
A person's page has a Health timing card. Enter the last checkup and how often it repeats, and the next one is worked out from those. Nothing to keep updating but the last visit.
Set when the school year starts and the card names the required vaccines still due or overdue before the first day. Only the month and day are read, so the date rolls forward each year.
On an activity, tick "Needs a sports physical before the season" and it shows whether the physical still stands. The physical and the next checkup both print on the kid card.
The tablet shows each person's day, and counts down to big days
NewSeptember 21, 2026 · Wall tablet, Web
The Today column is now your day in time order: each event with who drives and picks up, its open prep tasks as Bring chips, your routines at their due times, and any birthday.
The tablet calendar has a Day view beside Week and Month, with the same rows for any day.
Countdowns above your checklists show birthdays in the next 90 days and any event you mark. Tick "Count down to it on the wall tablet" on the event form, or turn on "Countdown on the tablet" on the event's page.
Allowance: points as dollars, a weekly amount, and payouts
NewSeptember 21, 2026 · Web, Wall tablet
Under Settings > Family > Points and allowance, set what a point is worth. Every person's points then also show as dollars on their page, on the wall tablet, and when you pay out.
On a person's page under Points, set a weekly allowance: so many points every Saturday, say. It lands as points on that day, in your time zone. Pause or remove it any time.
When you hand over cash, choose Pay out and enter the points. The payout is recorded with its dollar amount at that day's value. No money moves through the app.
Checklists that take turns, or are up for grabs
NewSeptember 21, 2026 · Web, Wall tablet
On the checklist form or the checklist's page, "Each time it repeats" offers One person (the default), Take turns, and Up for grabs.
Take turns: tick the people in order; each time the checklist repeats the next person gets it, and the card says whose turn it is. The wall tablet shows it only to that person that day.
Up for grabs: anyone can do it. The first person to tick a step claims it, the card reads "Claimed by" them, and the points and the streak go to them.
A streak for each child who finishes their routine
NewSeptember 21, 2026 · Web, Wall tablet
Each person with a repeating checklist has a streak. The flame next to the points on the tablet shows it; the tablet overview shows one per person; the person's page shows it with their best run.
A day counts once every routine due that day is finished, as soon as the child ticks the last step. A missed day ends the run the next morning; a day with no routine due does not.
Picture routines for kids on the wall tablet
NewSeptember 21, 2026 · Web, Wall tablet
Choose New checklist and pick a routine at the top of the form: Morning, After school, or Bedtime, for ages 2 to 4, 5 to 8, or 9 to 12. The steps arrive with their pictures and a daily repeat at a sensible time; assign it to the child and change anything.
Any task can have a picture: use the picture button on the task row in the form, or on the Tasks section of a checklist's page.
On the wall tablet, a checklist whose tasks have pictures shows as tiles instead of rows. The web page shows the picture as a small badge next to the task.
The kid card: teacher, sizes, activities, printable
NewSeptember 20, 2026 · Web, Assistant
On a person's page, Education gains Teacher and Teacher email, and two new cards appear: Sizes (top, bottom, dress, coat, shoes, hat, gloves, swim, each with its date) and Activities (coach, season, place, and the team's linked calendar).
Choose "Print kid card" from the menu on the person's page for a one-page card with the school, teacher, sizes, activities, emergency contacts, and medical details, with a switch to leave the medical details off.
A caregiver link now shows the teacher, activities, and sizes on each kid's card. The assistant records a teacher, a size, or an activity from a flyer or a message and shows a card before writing.
Prep templates for the events kids have
NewSeptember 20, 2026 · Web, Assistant
Ten templates come built in: game day, practice, field trip, birthday party, picture day, swim, sleepover, recital or performance, doctor or dentist visit, and first day of school. Make your own under Settings > Family > Event prep templates, or copy a built-in one and change it.
On the event form and the event page, "Add from template" adds the list as prep tasks, each with its own reminder. A task already on the event is not added twice.
When the assistant reads a flyer or a message about a game or a trip, it fills the prep tasks from the matching template and shows them on the card before anything is written.
A read-only link for a grandparent or a sitter
NewSeptember 20, 2026 · Web
Under Settings > Family > Caregiver links, name the link, pick the people to share, choose how long it lasts (a day to three months), and copy the link once.
The page shows each child's school and emergency contact, and the week's events with the driver and pickup named. Allergies, medical conditions, blood type, and health insurance appear only when you tick that box for the link.
Revoke a link any time from the same place; whoever holds it then sees "no longer valid".
A morning agenda at the hour you choose
NewSeptember 20, 2026 · Web, Mobile
Turn it on under Settings > Notifications > Daily agenda by picking an hour. It is off until you do.
It arrives by email, push, or in the app, following your Daily Agenda channel choices in the notification grid.
The message covers your own events and the family events you can see, with the driver and pickup named on each.
An alert when another adult changes a family event
NewSeptember 19, 2026 · Web, Mobile
Changes made within a couple of minutes are grouped into a single alert, so a series edit or a run of tweaks reads as one line, not twenty.
Events from a linked calendar and the nightly extension of repeating events never alert. Personal events are never announced.
Turn it off or on under Settings > Notifications > Family Calendar Changes. It is push and in-app only; nothing is emailed.
Name who drives, who picks up, and who attends an event
NewSeptember 19, 2026 · Web, Assistant
Open an event, or the event form, and use the new People section. Driver and Pickup offer the adults in your family; Attending lists everyone.
On a repeating event, the people you set become the default for every date in the reach you choose when saving. A date you change on its own keeps its own driver.
If the driver already drives something else at that time, the save goes through and you get a warning naming the other event.
The assistant sets these too when a flyer or a message names them.
The Inbox keeps a record of what each email added
ImprovedSeptember 19, 2026 · Web
Handled rows now read "2 events and 1 other change added" instead of "Added", and the review page gains a "What was added" section with a link for each thing written.
Mail that reaches an address you replaced is listed under "Sent to an old address", with the current address to give the sender.
The family inbox: forward school email, photograph a flyer
NewSeptember 19, 2026 · Web, Wall tablet
Find your address under Settings > Inbox. Mail you forward from your own address is always read; mail sent straight from a school or a league is read when its sender is on your approved list, and waits for your OK otherwise.
On the wall Dashboard, "Create new" now offers "Photo of a flyer". The photo is read the same way an email is.
Nothing is added to the calendar until someone in the family confirms it on the Inbox page.
Calendar: end times, repeating events, linked calendars, birthdays
NewSeptember 18, 2026 · Web, Wall tablet, Assistant
An event can end at a time or run several days. A repeating event follows a rule (weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays until a date, for example); editing one asks whether the change applies to this date, this and following, or all.
Link a calendar by its .ics address under Settings > Calendar sync and its events appear read-only, refreshed twice a day. Your own family calendar has a feed address you can add to Apple Calendar or Outlook.
Birthdays come from the dates of birth on People and show on the calendar and the wall Dashboard.
Reminders work on linked events too, and the assistant knows everyone's age when it reads a flyer.
